Bad Jobs Working From Home Versus Good Jobs

Whenever you start a new traditional job, what do you usually receive? Perhaps a uniform, a contract outlining your requirements and expectations, and along with that Training and Support, which is what I want to speak with you about today because it's a real problem in the home based business industry and I believe it really needs to be cleaned up.
Why do you receive training?
Whenever you start a new job, you will start with either experience or no experience, and chances are pretty high that if you have no experience you will need training so that you can improve your skill set and actually do well at your job so you can make yourself and the company money.
If you don't make any money in your job (basically you don't do any work) then the company will usually fire you. However, in a home based business the majority of people have no prior experience and so new skills will need to be learned and developed.
It's important to recognize this because even though you may already have a useful skill set from a previous occupation, all your skills will not translate over to your home business. In fact, I would go as far as to say that the majority of people lack most of the skills needed to succeed at building their own home based business.
The current statistics that 97% of new businesses fail in their first two years is testament to this along with just simply coming from my own personal experience and that of the many people that I've worked with and continue to work with who are just starting.
Because let's be honest here, when it comes to achieving anything worthwhile, you're going to need to put some effort in, learn some new skills (while enjoying yourself along the way of course) and stay consistent over time. The reason you want to stay consistent over time is so that you give yourself the necessary time to learn the skills so that you can succeed at what you're wanting to be successful at!
What time frame are you looking at from starting your home business to when you actually start making money and succeeding? Well, that all depends on the skill level you're at now, and the skill level that you need to get to in order to be successful.
For example, you could say that most people start out at with a skill level of 3/10 and over time they reach a skill level of 7/10. Which isn't bad, but it requires you to take determined, consistent action over a period of time through practical and theoretical study in order to improve your skill level.
I believe talent versus skill is one of the most misunderstood concepts of our time. Most people are very quick to say someone has talent and that they were born with that 'ability' rather than just own up to the fact that they themselves are too lazy to set the time aside, to put the dedication and discipline in to learn the skills to be successful at whatever they want to succeed at.
My chosen craft is that of being a highly efficient coach. In my previous occupation as a Personal Trainer part of my craft and job was to make sure that I could not only have people believe in themselves and their own abilities to get things done, but that I could actually help them to do it! And the most important part of all.
I had to believe in them! I had to believe that they could actually do it. That this person had the capabilities to achieve the results they said they wanted. This is what I still do now as a business and life coach. But I didn't get here over night. It took determined, consistent action over a period of time of working on myself, developing my skills in the areas that are most important to me in achieving the results I want not just in business but in life, in general.
So make sure that when you're evaluating a work from home job that you look at what sort of training and support they provide, and be sure that it's the sort of training and support that will make not only your life better, but those around you also.
As you grow into a more valuable, supportive and understanding person, you will enrich your life further and the relationships in it, and you will one day look back and think to yourself, "I'm really glad I took that step in starting my own home based business because it's given me more than just lifestyle, it's enriched my life beyond what I ever thought possible.
